Part time : 35 hours per week,38 weeks per year (term time only)

Salary:  NJC Grade C1 points 6 – 19.  Actual salary £14,885 - £19,216 per annum

Greenacre Academy, part of the Skills for Life Trust, is a single sex secondary boy’s school with a large, successful joint sixth form in partnership with Walderslade Girls’ School.

We require a conscientious person with a professional approach to be part of a team of cover supervisors.  You will be responsible for the supervision of classes in the absence of a teacher and will be expected to insist upon the highest standards of behaviour, maintaining a purposeful working environment for our students.  You will need to be confident in your ability to maintain the school's behaviour expectations in classes, and be able to deal with any challenging behaviour in a calm yet firm manner. You will also be expected to work in line with Teachers' Standards and Ofsted requirements for which training will be provided. 

A good standard of education and literacy is essential, along with experience of working with children of relevant age and an understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and in particular, barriers to learning.
